GNOSIS (under construction)
Before i start to ramble i will say a few things, first this is completly personal so yeah, dont take anything i say here personal,
second, i was catholic for most of my life (12 ish years) and nowadays im an atheist,
and third (and most importantly) i Really encourage you to read this texts yourself as what i'll write in here is my own interpretation.
gospel of mary
Now hoping that is clear, even tho i lack faith in any form of religion, i do believe that any form of centralized church is corrupt or akin to corruption in some way or another.
This is exactly the reason why some gnostic texts (speccialy the gospel of mary and thomas) caught so much my attention, as they take the power from the church and place it onto the individual.

This can be clearly seen in the gospel of mary, where the concept of sins is completely redefined, escaping the dogmatic nature it had, sinning and the actions that constitute sins stop being any action that goes against a hard set of rules and commandments and turns into any action that goes against one's true nature
